The DMEA nova Award celebrates visionary startups and young companies that are shaping and accelerating the digital evolution of healthcare with innovative approaches.

Evaluation Period

February 8 to March 8, 2027

Our interdisciplinary jury of experts will review all submitted pitch decks and nominate the most promising startups and ideas for the live pitches at DMEA 2027 in Munich.

Announcement of Nominees:

March 17, 2027

Live Pitches at DMEA 2027

April 13 and 14, 2027

The nominees will present their ideas and solutions live to the audience and the jury at DMEA.

Final Live Pitch and Award Ceremony

April 15, 2027

The winners of the preliminary rounds (April 13 and 14) will pitch for the 2027 DMEA nova Award.

Who can participate in the DMEA nova Award?

Have you been building your digital health startup for less than five years? Perfect—you are exactly the type of innovator we are looking for, so do not hesitate to join the competition!

Is there a participation fee?

Your application and participation in the competition are free of charge.

How can I apply?

Your path to the award leads directly through the submission portal of bvitg Service GmbH. The link will appear here once applications open. Already submitted your entry but need to tweak something? No problem—you can update your application as often as you like until the deadline. Please note that we cannot consider any documents sent via email.

In which languages can I apply?

You can submit your application (read deck) in either German or English. For the live pitches at the DMEA, we use English as the common language to ensure that your vision reaches the international DMEA audience.

What is the prize package?

The winning startup will receive a prize package with a total value of 10,000 EUR, consisting of a cash prize of 3,000 EUR and a media package worth 7,000 EUR.

Who organizes the award?

The DMEA nova Award is sponsored and presented by the German Association of Healthcare IT vendors – bvitg e. V.

The competition is organized by bvitg Service GmbH, Markgrafenstraße 56, 10117 Berlin, Germany.
