DMEA 2025: Digital health worldwide in Berlin
From the AI Act, to the potential of the European Health Data Space, to the power of patient data in Scandinavia - DMEA 2025 will focus on numerous topics that go beyond digital healthcare in Germany.
Around 300 speakers will take to the DMEA stages in early April to discuss the digital transformation in their countries and the opportunities for cross-border collaboration.
The first day of DMEA (8 April) will take a look into the future: What will the European healthcare system look like in 2029? What direction will the new EU Commission take on the AI Act and the European Health Data Space? According to the panellists, the EU is currently at a turning point in the digitalisation of healthcare.
On Wednesday (9 April), the panel 'Digital Health at the Heart of Europe' will focus on the cooperation between Germany and France. Although the two countries' healthcare systems are very different, they face common challenges - from demographic change to economic and technological developments. German and French experts will discuss the benefits of working together.
At the Nordic panel on 9 April, experts from Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden will discuss the crucial role of patient data in improving healthcare. They will also address critical aspects of collecting, securing and using patient data.
Other highlights include keynote speeches by futurist and trend watcher Richard van Hooijdonk on Tuesday (April 8) and Dr. Katrin Crameri, Co-Head of Digital Transformation at the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), who will address DMEA on Wednesday (April 9).
