Cerner Deutschland: The future is now!
For this year’s conhIT, Cerner have chosen the motto: The future is now! The motto reflects how the campaign around the 'digital journey' is continuous, and reflects Cerner’s mission to motivate healthcare institutions to further promote digitalisation.
At conhIT 2018, we present our 'Cerner Ecosystem'. The term is used to describe Cerner’s broad solution portfolio, which covers current hospital IT requirements. The electronic health record (EHR) forms the backbone of the portfolio and is expanded by partner solutions that use both its open architecture and standards, and allow tight integration. Numerous partner companies from the health IT and medical technology industries enable Cerner to cover the requirements of hospitals from a full EHR to specialised software, such as infection control and surveillance systems, to medical devices, such as those from Welch Allyn.
Cerner also select a different theme for each of the three trade show days. Each of the days has a focus on specific issues and their solutions, which are presented in a morning and an afternoon session. The themes are “IT security”, “digital flowsheets” and “mobility”. All of them are important components for hospitals that are working towards replacing paper charts and increasing their level of digitalisation. Interested trade show visitors can pre-register for the individual theme days via email to “christa.hurich@cerner.com” – don’t delay, because the future is now!

ClinicAll: Digitalization made in Germany
Now that the German e-Health Act has been launched, the digitalization gains more momentum in Germany. Thus, a future-proof answer to many questions is needed: how to improve patient comfort, treatment quality, and significantly easing workload for the clinic staff?
ClinicAll, based in Neuss, Germany, offers a holistic approach: giving patients access to TV, radio, phone and internet as well as providing the clinic staff with safe access to all patient data. ClinicAll bedside terminals are placed directly at the point of care, at the patient's bedside.
Thus, patient data, treatment plans, diagnostic findings, radiographs or centralized room monitoring can be managed centrally, and may be viewed or edited on every connected device within the clinic. Further functions such as an automated patient check-in already have been realized as well. At conhIT, ClinicAll shows this networked environment in a live setup.

CompuGroup Medical Deutschland: “Non-stop healthcare” – added value for hospitals and emancipated patients
In the lead up to the conhIT Trade Fair, CompuGroup Medical (CGM) is showing how acute care hospitals and rehabilitation clinics can be supported in order to gain maximum benefits in an era of digitalisation and networking.
Clear cross-sectoral processes have been drawn up to highlight how the new CGM CLINICAL networking HIS is able to succeed in establishing real synergies between individual healthcare service providers and thus deliver cost efficiencies for all parties involved.
CGM is continuing to focus its attention on the patient perspective. This is an approach which each and every patient is ultimately entitled. Patients also have an increasing expectation that their personal health data will be made available to them. Quite justifiably, they wish to be spared the “logistics of surprise” which arise as the result of inefficient processes.
In times when human resources are scarce, software-aided process support is also a highly relevant key issue for clinical staff. The CGM CLINICAL Suite takes the individual treatment process into account to offer consistent management and enhancement of resources in a way which enables all medical, nursing and administrative processes to be coordinated as and when required.
And, last but not least, roll-out of the necessary telematics infrastructure is fully underway. How this is happening and what surgeries, acute care hospitals, rehabilitation clinics and all other participants need in order to make it happen will be a major issue to be addressed at the 2018 conhIT and at the CGM stand in particular.

DMI: Data – Medicine – Integration
Documents to data – this is the key trend regarding medical records. Patient information will be identified, made accessible, and integrated directly into processes, avoiding cumbersome and error-prone manual handling. At the granular level, this will allow, e.g., for clinical decision support, alarming in critical patient situations, and optimization of DRG revenue management. Emerging standards enable interoperability required at the level of data. Valuable contributions in research and practice from archiving service specialist DMI and its partners include identification of data types, extraction tools, presentation layers, and compliant archiving.
With DMI, hospitals place themselves in a strategic position for changing market requirements, At conhIT, routine challenges in hospital management also play a role; DMI workshops offer know-how e.g. on optimizing revenue management, archiving in compliance with EU and German Acts and Guidelines, and interoperability based on IHE and FHIR.

medatixx: Digitally assisted treatment
New digital applications bring diagnostic and therapeutic uses for patients to our established health care system. The only thing that is still missing is a structured interchange of data between the stakeholders of our health care industry.
With their very own patient service app, medatixx has developed a pivotal and functional way of doctor-patient communication. Health data transfer from mHealth apps to medatixx medical office software is already possible today. medatixx-AppPoint, a marketplace for medical apps, lists all certified mHealth apps bearing an interface to medatixx medical office software and providing therapeutic or procedural value. Therefore, medatixx-AppPoint functions as a practical guide when looking for the appropriate medical apps. Via x.patient, collected health data can be transferred directly to the doctor‘s medical office software and patient’s medical files.
Digital technologies and mobile solutions free up more time for doctors to focus on core tasks. In addidtion, the doctor-patient relationship is improved by structured communication. The patient is involved more directly in his/her treatment and has a clearer overview of diagnoses and therapeutic measurements.
MedSuche Online by medatixx is another feature offering digital support for therapeutic measures since it comprises several integrated knowledge portals. Digitized knowledge management allows specific information to be easily accessible and offers a range of verified medical information on various diseases.

Telekom Healthcare Solutions: Starter kit for connecting to the telematics infrastructure
With the Medical Access Port Bundle, Deutsche Telekom intends to present a starter kit for connecting to the telematics infrastructure (TI). It consists of a connector, a stationary card terminal, the required VPN access service, installation, and extensive customer service. In addition, the institution ID (SMC-B) and electronic healing profession ID (eHBA) required for authentication can also be obtained from Deutsche Telekom.
In early November 2017 Gematik confirmed iMedOne® as one of the first hospital information systems (HIS) for productive operation of the TI. This was preceded by strict checks with regard to functionality, security, and interoperability of the interface.
iMedOne® features a solution that digitalizes all processes associated with medication based on the Federal Medication Plan (BMP) that went into force in October 2016. By implementing a closed loop for medication of this kind, hospitals can achieve qualification under EMRAM Level 6.
The mobile solutions iMedOne ® Mobile and Mobile Patient Record Edition i.s.h.med® accelerate work processes at hospitals. The new add-ons i.s.h.med.-Medikation (for medications) and Vitalwert-Dokumentation (for documenting vital signs) will optimize further processes in the MPR app. With it, doctors and care staff can prescribe and approve medication, document distribution, and enter vital signs directly on mobile devices, directly at the patient's bedside.
